This course focuses on the Be/Know/Do of leadership and helps dig deep into your own leadership qualities and principles. There are great "boots on the ground" examples and several opportunities for specific reflection/application through the topics. Though formatted from a military perspective, the advice rings true for the private and non-profit sectors as well. (I am a civilian, forth-generation entrepreneur and found this course to be relevant and spot-on.) Highly recommend!

A leader is not defined by their position or authority. A leader is defined by how they use their relationships to help their organizations, friends, and family achieve a common goal/mission. If you are a leader in any capacity, you must invest in your development. Leaders are made, not built. Continue to invest in your development as a leader for the sake of those you lead, and you will reap abundantly based upon how you grow and develop yourself in this area. This course is a must if you place a value on anything stated above!

I would recommend this course to anyone - even those who do not necessarily view themselves as "leaders". The course highlights overarching principles of leadership that are easy to understand and apply. After taking the course I feel more self-aware about my leadership traits and what I need to do to improve them. For anyone who wants to improve their understanding of what makes a good leader AND how to apply that knowledge into action, this is an excellent course.

I found this course very applicable to all areas of my life, being a mom, and working at a pregnancy center.
